Have you ever felt so overwhelmed that you don't even know where to begin? How do you reconcile a life of "collecting" yet desiring to live more simply. Wanting more but needing to let things go. Wanting to save yet loving to spend. Wanting to do everything so well that you end up doing nothing particularly well. Wanting to blog but waiting so long that you talk yourself out of it because you don't have anything brilliant to say. Then you realize that you put yourself out there every single day anyway. I'm taking a step, I guarantee it won't be brilliant but it will be me. My story... about this life that I love.
We're in the midst of Fall and I LOVE IT. I love cold nights and warm fires with yummy smells coming from the kitchen. I'm in the middle of Halloween transitioning to Thanksgiving and Christmas sneaking in every single place I can get away with it. Wrapping up this year with style and grace. I'm hosting Thanksgiving AND Christmas this year. Me and my girls have already had our annual baking day (which should actually be called "mixing day" but that doesn't sound as charming).
A couple of years ago I delivered freshly baked homemade cinnamon rolls on Christmas Eve to a few of our neighbors (inspired by The Pioneer Woman). These were those... with espresso maple icing. Sooooo yummy if I do say so myself.
